Full Arch Dental Implants in Northern Kentucky

Full arch dental implants replace a complete row of teeth using four to six titanium implants rather than one implant per tooth. The implants fuse with your jawbone over several months and support a single fixed prosthetic arch. Because they take on the role of natural tooth roots, they send chewing force back into the jaw and help preserve bone that would otherwise shrink away. You may also see this called full mouth dental implants, fixed implant dentures or a full arch restoration.

What Are Full Arch Dental Implants?

Full arch dental implants replace a complete row of teeth using four to six titanium implants rather than one implant per tooth. The implants fuse with your jawbone over several months and support a single fixed prosthetic arch. Because they take on the role of natural tooth roots, they send chewing force back into the jaw and help preserve bone that would otherwise shrink away. You may also see this called full mouth dental implants, fixed implant dentures or a full arch restoration.

All-on-4 and All-on-6 Dental Implants

All-on-4 is the most widely used full arch technique. Four implants support the entire arch, with the two rear implants angled to take advantage of denser bone toward the front of the jaw. That angling is why so many patients move forward without bone grafting. All-on-6 adds two implants for extra support, often the better choice for lower arches under heavy bite force or patients with more bone volume to work with.

Your 3D scan determines which approach fits your case, and we will never place more implants than your treatment calls.

Full Arch Implants vs. Dentures

A traditional denture rests on your gums and depends on suction or adhesive to stay put. It can shift while you eat, the upper plate covers the roof of your mouth, and it does nothing to slow the bone loss underneath. That is why dentures need relines and replacement every several years.

Full arch implants are anchored to bone. You clean them daily and leave them in overnight, with no adhesive and no plate across your palate, and chewing strength comes much closer to natural teeth. Treatment is a larger upfront investment, but it lasts and it protects the jawbone rather than wearing it down.

Are You a Candidate for Full Arch Implants?

Most patients missing most or all of the teeth on an arch are candidates, including those whose remaining teeth are failing and need to be removed. Good candidates are in reasonable general health, have gum disease under control or treatable, and keep up with routine hygiene and regular visits. Conditions such as diabetes do not rule you out, though they are evaluated carefully because well managed health improves implant success rates.

If You've Been Told You Don't Have Enough Bone

This is the most common reason patients count themselves out, and it is often wrong. Angled placement targets the bone you still have rather than the bone you have lost, so patients turned away from traditional implants frequently qualify for a full arch. Where bone truly is insufficient, dental bone grafting can rebuild the site. A 3D scan gives you a real answer in one appointment. The Full Arch Implant Process, Step by Step

Every case is different, but full arch treatment generally follows five stages:

  1. Consultation and 3D Imaging: A comprehensive exam, a review of your medical history and a 3D scan measuring bone height, bone density and the position of your nerves and sinuses. From there we build your treatment plan: how many implants you need, any preparatory work and the full timeline.
  2. Extractions and Implant Placement: Any remaining failing teeth are removed and your implants placed, usually in the same appointment. You will be comfortable throughout with local anesthesia, and sedation dentistry is available if you would prefer it.
  3. Your Temporary Teeth: In most cases a temporary fixed arch is attached the same day, so you do not go home without teeth. You will be on a softer diet while healing to protect the implants.
  4. Healing and Osseointegration: Over roughly three to six months, the implants fully integrate with your jawbone. You will come in for periodic check ups so we can confirm healing is on track.
  5. Final Fixed Restoration: Once your implants are stable, we craft your permanent arch and fit it for a comfortable, balanced bite. You will leave with clear instructions for caring for your new smile.

Full Arch Dental Implant Financing

Full arch treatment is an investment, and we would rather talk about it openly than have it be the reason you put off care. Every treatment plan comes with a clear breakdown before anything begins, and we verify your insurance benefits in advance. No insurance does not mean no options. Dr. Kumar is absolutely amazing! I have Trigeminal Neuralgia, which is horrible if you have to go to the dentist, but my experience was absolutely wonderful! When I walked into the office I had tears in my eyes and Candy and McKenzie were extremely warm and assuring that everything would be okay, and offered nitrous oxide to keep me calm! I took them up on it!!!!! Dr. Kumar was extremely kind and he worked incredibly fast! I will never go to another dentist! They have a client for life! Thank you everyone who helped me!!!!!!
